Upgrade components

Upgrade components can be added to armors, weapons, trinkets and gathering tools. They provide an extra benefit or impact while the equipment in use. They can be bought from vendors or other players, looted, obtained as rewards, or made using crafting materials. Upgrade items can be cosmetic effects in addition to offering bonus points for attributes.

They are not generally accessible for general use, and they can only be used on ascended equipment or some non-ascended weapons from the Factions campaign. Infusions can be recovered and inscriptions from equipment using an Infusion Extractor Device or by salvaging using a Black Lion Salvage Kit, or Ascended Salvage tool.

These upgrades are the most effective way to improve weapon and armor quality without spending Dilithium, as they can increase the likelihood of receiving an upgrade by two times.

Upgrade components can be added to an item however, the original one is destroyed (except for legendaries and ascended equipment). Only upgraded  item upgrade  that have an identification level of 0 or greater can be upgraded with upgrade components incorporated into them. If you add an upgrade to an existing weapon that already has a suffix or a prefix upgrade, the item will be named as it appears on the game screen (for example adding the Radiant insignia to Canthan Armor creates Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). A player is limited to three upgrade items at one time.

Glyphs

Glyphs are a useful accessory to any item since they provide a variety of unique advantages and boosts. Certain glyphs increase the number of affixes that an item has, which increases the power of the item. These glyphs can be obtained by the completion of the dungeons. Some are even located in specific World Tier 3 zones. It is important to keep in mind that glyphs can't be used on a character who hasn't created a root dungeon of the same depth.

To make use of a Glyph you first need to create it with components and then connect them via anchors. The component will then automatically align with other components or paths within the same layer. If you don't want to create the glyph using components, you can employ a combination of paths and anchors. Then, drag an element near the highlighted component to secure it.

Certain glyphs require certain requirements to be met, such as 25 Dexterity within a specific area on the Paragon Board. Some glyphs require a specific number of Primary Stat Nodes to be activated, which can be a challenge to attain. Certain glyphs also have a radius, which increases as you move it up.

Glyphs can be used on a variety of items and weapons, except for those belonging to a particular class. Certain glyphs come with additional conditions, such as a certain amount of damage to Dexterity or attack damage in a particular area of the Paragon board.

The Defend Glyph adds an 5% chance to deflect attacks from enemies. It also has an opportunity to make the Hero vulnerable for 2 turns.

There are also a handful of glyphs that can be added to tools that are limited-use, such as the Black Lion Chest or Trading Post. These glyphs are counted towards the Combat Mechanic Achievement.

The most common glyphs are the attack glyphs, which boost the ATK substats of Artifacts by a flat amount. These glyphs are particularly useful for classes that employ weapons with a range, such as Warriors or Rogues. The Exploit Glyph renders enemies who attack the Hero vulnerable to damage.

Reroll tokens

Reroll tokens are special tokens that can be used to reroll the results rolled while taking an Action. When the reroll happens they are discarded. Reroll tokens can be obtained in several ways, including through the dungeons, raids and skirmishes. They can also be purchased at the shop or from other players. They are especially useful in dungeons and trials, because they allow players to roll the rewards of the final chest.

Recycle points are available for items at level 1. The upgrade gauge will grow by a specific amount of points each time you recycle an item. This number is determined by the rarity of the item as well as its level.  item upgrade  upgraded item will not be able to keep its level when rerolled and the cost to recycle an upgraded item rises as its level rises.

The player can also use reroll tokens to make an item rerollable. However it will not bring back the item's original stats or levels. This is useful for those who want to reroll an item that they aren't happy with but still would like to keep it in their collection.

Three kinds of upgrade coins are available in the game: reroll, randomly generated, and upgrade. Each type comes with several subtypes. For instance, reroll tokens are available in three levels: rare, enhanced and legendary. Each requires an item from the respective level to produce the new item with the same quality.

To use rerolling tokens you must select "Reroll Token" by right-clicking on the Satanic or Angelic items in your inventory. Select a type of token. The tokens that are available are Item, Weapons, Misc, 1hguns, 2hguns, and Focus. The Item token can be used to create a brand new Item in any quality. A Weapon or Misc token can create a new weapon of the same faction.

The item may be upgraded to a different item that has the same stats but is at a higher level. This will happen if the item has been placed in the Non-Droppable Pool or was transferred there as part of a franchise card.
